The Worst Dressed Characters in Video Games

In general, video game characters have a fantastic sense of style. Outfits are often impractical, especially in action games. Even if an outfit is impractical, it can still look good. Unfortunately, this is not the case for all. Sometimes a character just has a bad fashion sense.

Here we will go through some fashion disasters in video games. This includes outfits that, if they existed in real life, would be very bizarre. It’s important to note that these mentioned characters can be good, but their wardrobe definitely isn’t. This is a fun and lighthearted list; We still love these characters! So, without further ado, let’s take a look at the first fashion disaster in video games.

10/10 Tidus-Final Fantasy 10

Tidus from FFX stands in the water with his sword

First, to no one’s surprise, we have Tidus. This is the main character from Final Fantasy 10 and he’s wearing a pretty interesting outfit. He loves the asymmetrical style, where one pant leg is slightly longer than the other.

You can also find a shirt and jumpsuit combo where straps go over a very cropped jacket. As an honorable mention, Final Fantasy 10’s Lulu also has a very impractical and bizarre outfit, complete with a plethora of buckles making up her skirt.

9/10 Sora-Kingdom Hearts

Sora is the main character from the Kingdom Hearts series. He wears a few different outfits throughout the series. One that definitely deserves a spot on our list is the Kingdom Hearts 2 outfit. Along with his classic baggy pants and clown-like shoes, Sora has some bright yellow straps that cross over the front of his pants.

Like Tidus, Sora is a victim of too much going on. He also has a short jacket as well as red bags hanging from his hips. If you look closely, it also appears he has metal shoulders on his jacket, slightly tucked under his hood.

8/10 Tingle – The Legend of Zelda

Next we have Tingle the Elf. This is a recurring character in The Legend of Zelda series wearing a very unique outfit. The green body suit is complete with a small pair of red underwear over it. Tingle’s body suit also somehow fits perfectly around his ears.

In Breath of the Wild, Link can also purchase Tingle’s outfit. Unfortunately, it’s still a nightmare that gives Link a sharp head.

7/10 Christie Monteiro-Tekken

For this list, we’re deviating from adding overly exposed outfits. In video games, many female characters have incredibly little clothing, even if the clothing itself is cute. This is not the case with Christie Monteiro.

This Tekken character is wearing low-cut pants and a gold and red bikini top. On her hands you will find a pair of gloves with a feather sticking out. Overall, this outfit is a little mismatched.

6/10 Voldo-Soulcalibur

Filming of Voldo

Voldo is a character that you can fight with in the Soulcalibur series. There have been a few different variations of Voldo’s outfit, but what remains constant are the straps covering his face and the blades attached to his hands.

Voldo wears surprisingly little clothing. In the series, one of his outfits consists of leg armor and a bundle of straps that cover the rest of his body. Something about this outfit combined with the backbends he does to move is very unsettling.

5/10 Nooj-Final Fantasy X-2

Nooj is a character from Final Fantasy X-2. His hair is noticeable just by looking at it. A stiff strand of hair comes out of his head almost to the floor.

In typical Final Fantasy fashion, Nooj has an asymmetrical outfit with unnecessary straps. In addition, he wears an odd combination of clothing with no coherent theme.

4/10 Korcha – Chrono Cross

Korcha from the Chronocross

This entry speaks for itself. A character from Chrono Cross, Korcha wears tiny red underwear-like bottoms and a small vest. Instead of shoes, Korcha has wrapped a couple of bandages around his feet.

Of course, let’s not forget his hair. Korcha appears to have a mohawk, although it looks very spiky. Overall, Korcha also stands out from other characters in the game, such as Serge, who wears a t-shirt and shorts.

3/10 Kent – Amnesia Memories

kent from amnesia memories

Amnesia Memories is an otome game where you play as a heroine who has lost all her memories. There are four different routes you can take and all the lovers are pretty well dressed, with the exception of Kent. This love interest has a floor-length trench coat and a sleeve that’s absolutely studded with buckles.

The character art of this game is a little over the top, with long and slender characters. Combined with the trench coat, Kent looks like a buckle salesman.

2/10 Luso Clemens – Final Fantasy Tactics

luso clemens from Final Fantasy Tactics

The last Final Fantasy character we have on our list is Luso Clemens. As with the other Final Fantasy entries on our list, Luso just has too much going on. Luso seems to blend every design choice into one.

He has oversized pants with a little jumpsuit that goes over a little red shirt. Both arms are loaded with various pieces of armor, and to top it all off he has a belt and handkerchief combo with a huge pouch attached. There’s a lot happening in the outfit, which makes it a bit difficult to tell what’s going on.

1/10 Fiore Brunelli – Starry Ocean

Fiore Brunelli from Star Ocean

Finally we have Fiore Brunelli who is a main character of Star Ocean. At first glance, Fiore appears to be wearing a revealing checkerboard bodice. However, this extends to her legs, making her appear like a giant suit.

Obviously, this outfit is impractical. If she moves a little too much, the cleavage could shift around her body. Besides that, how on earth is she attracted to that? Do her feet get stuck in all the holes when getting dressed?
