Carmelo Hayes and Wes Lee have finally reached the climax of their feud. While these two have been fighting for a while, a one-on-one match has yet to materialize as of this November 22nd edition of WWE NXT.

Cora Jade and Wendy Choo would also fight, hoping to put an end to their rivalry.

Zoey Stark would also be in action against newcomer Sol Ruca, gaining momentum following her recent betrayal of Nikkita Lyons.

Toxic Attaction was also scheduled to perform, opening the show after Mandy Rose’s last successful defense against Alba Fyre. No one knew what Rose, Gigi Dolin and Jacy Jayne would say about the future of NXT’s women’s division.

More was expected for this show, especially since Bron Breakker and Apollo Crews look ready for battle and NXT Deadline is right around the corner.

Toxic Attraction Take out Kayden Carter and Katana Chance

1 of 2

Mandy Rose bragged about her success before Gigi Dolin and Jacy Jayne turned their focus to the NXT Women’s Tag Team Championships. Katana Chance and Kayden Carter interrupted this, leading to a brawl where Toxic Attraction laid them out.

This was a neat paint-by-number segment from Toxic Attraction, but it served its purpose. Carter and Chance still haven’t truly defeated the former champions, and this feud may be one of the highlights of NXT Deadline.

It was interesting not having a step up to the NXT Women’s Champion, which should have many more potential challengers. This seems to indicate that Rose will not be wrestling at NXT Deadline but will be waiting for the winner of the Iron Survivor Challenge.

    Notable Moments

  • Rose tried to play off her win like she was all on her own, ignoring interference from Isla Dawn. Carter and Chance then called her when they interrupted her.

Cora Jade vs Wendy Choo

2 out of 2

Wendy Choo kept Cora Jade busy, but Jade wasn’t afraid to cheat to get ahead. Jade threw Choo’s drink in his face and then hit a DDT to win. After that, Choo was left crying in the ring.

To be honest, that was better than expected. Jade has found her way as a heel in the ring while Choo remains an underrated ring performer. While only one possible outcome could emerge from this match, the two in the ring with solid times told a full story.

The main concern right now is whether Choo will be able to translate beyond NXT, and it seems that NXT could develop this gimmick further. There were some subtle hints that she might bring back an aspect of her old character, Mei Ying.

    Notable Moments

  • Before heading to the ring, Jade promised to leave her mark on Choo.
  • In the dressing room, Grayson Waller questioned Duke Hudson’s loyalty to Chase U.
  • In a pre-taped segment, Apollo Crews discussed his upcoming match with Bron Breakker and addressed the story that led him to the NXT Championship picture.
